You want to prepare your daughter for puberty, but you want to do it better than how you learned about yours!

  • Did you learn from a family member or at school?
  • Do you remember those awkward school movies?
  • Did you learn about the whole cycle? Or just period bleeds?
  • Did you feel prepared?
  • Did you feel confident?

Now you may wonder…

Start the conversation?

It can be difficult to even begin. You may feel ill-equipped because of your own lack of preparation as a pre-teen.

Say….and not say?

You want to share as much information as you can, but at the same time…you don’t want to embarrass her in the process!

Get the information?

You may not want to search the internet… who knows what you’ll find! At the same time… you don’t want to leave it in the hands of the school system!

The truth is…

  • Your daughter wants to be empowered with knowledge
  • Your daughter will be grateful she has the tools to explore and embrace her changes. Many young women and disconnected from their bodies into adulthood.
  • Your daughter doesn’t know what questions to ask or how to ask them.
  • Having a health professional as a facilitator will relieve some of the embarrassment she may feel during “the talk.”

Hi! I’m Dr. Brooke Silberhorn.

I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Intuitive Life Coach, Women’s Health Advocate, and Holistic Health “Junkie”!

For years I experienced painful periods, with cramps and hormonal headaches.

For years I experienced painful periods, with cramps and hormonal headaches.

As a mom of two girls, I want to do everything I can to support my daughters through puberty…including sharing all of the things I’ve learned that I wish I’d known when I was their age! We all remember that awkward presentation in 5th grade where we basically learned about period bleeds, pads, tampons, and not much more. I definitely don’t remember being told what my body was actually doing and that the menstrual cycle is a 5th “vital sign” of health. So when I started experiencing severe period symptoms… I didn’t know that they weren’t normal or that I could fix them!

After a thyroid cancer diagnosis, I went to work on healing my body from the inside out. One positive result of this work was fewer physical period symptoms!

This led me to dig more into menstrual cycle health. What I learned led me to want to share it with every woman I could! Then women started to ask me, “what about my daughter?!” That is how this class (as well as a program for teens) was born!

But, there is good news: it doesn’t have to be this way!

Are you ready to support your daughter on her transformative journey through adolescence?

A live, in-person class for both mom and daughter of self-discovery and self-care, rooted in the wisdom of her menstrual cycle.

Because here’s the thing, our bodies have a language, and once we are equipped with the tools to listen to it, our entire life can change.

I developed this class to empower young girls to honor their unique journeys and to help them unleash their true potential. It’s time we equip our daughters with the knowledge of their inner rhythm and how discovering the incredible power within them can change everything.

Through Period Prep, your daughter will:

  • Experience a newfound sense of self-awareness and body literacy.
  • Understand her changing body
  • Know the normal phases of the Menstrual Cycle and how to track it
  • Learn how healthy self-care rituals to nourish her mind, body, and soul.
  • Learn how to create healthy and empowering relationships that honor her boundaries.

What People Are Saying About Period Prep

Dr. Brooke did a stand up job teaching the group of girls and moms in the class we attended. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs the knowledge and supportive encouragement for little girls becoming little ladies. Everyone left feeling wiser and ready to take on the world. She provided a safe environment that was comfortable. The girls had all of their questions answered in a very positive way to help ease any fears for the next phase in life. Her patience and expertise made for a positive learning experience.

For years, I viewed my menstrual cycle as a burden, something to be endured and kept hidden. I can’t recommend Dr. Brooke’s program enough if you are seeking a deeper understanding into hormone fluctuations, the importance of self-care during different phases, and how to align your lifestyle with your body’s needs. I’m grateful to have found this program, and I only wish I had discovered it as a young girl to help remove the negative stigma surrounding periods.

Is this program suitable for all girls, regardless of their age?

The suggested age for this class is 9-11, but I acknowledge that every girl’s body is unique in when and how it starts to change. You know your daughter best, and if you have questions regarding preparedness, email us at

Are there any prerequisites or prior knowledge required to enroll in the class?

No. I acknowledge this may be the first time the topic is presented to your daughter. We will “start at the beginning” and break down all the important basics.

Can my daughter participate in this program if she is not comfortable discussing the menstrual cycle openly?

Yes! While I feel the experience is more valuable with open conversation and interaction. She can simply participate by being present, listening, learning, and taking notes! At the end of the day, my hope is that this class will open the door for further conversation between you and your daughter!
